Cantonese couple William and Anna left their home to find a fresh breath of freedom, beautiful sunlight, beaches, and simple and friendly locals. They moved from Tseng Lan Shue, Hong Kong’s little Hawaii, to Taitung, Taiwan’s Hawaii. The couple opened a restaurant on Shanxi Rd featuring poke bowls. The bowls contain vegetables, seafood, meat, and other proteins, paired with rice or soba noodles and sauces to make a colorful, healthy, and appetizing meal that has been trending all over the world.

Tseng Lan Shue Poke Bowl is well lit. Guests are welcomed by Anna and her children once they enter. The family-style restaurant will make you feel right at home! As for the menu, guests can choose two sizes: the Mini bowl (one main and three sides), or the Poke bowl (two mains and five sides). The vibrant and colorful ingredients in the food display bar immediately attract all the attention. There is a wide array of bases (usually rice), meats (usually sushi-grade raw salmon or other sashimi), dressings, and vegetable toppings to select from! What’s more, the owner Anna always piles the bowls into high peaks. You can ask to adjust the amount of rice or noodles in your bowls, for example, half salad and half noodles, making the bowls highly customizable.
