Green Island is internationally famed as a diving paradise. The Shilang Diving Area is one of the most popular dive spots on Green island. The waters neighboring Shilang are surrounded by coral reefs, providing stable currents that are perfect for snorkeling and diving. Those who are passionate about diving must come for a visit.
The Shilang Diving Area has great geographic qualities. The north-flowing Kuroshio Current brings rich resources that nurture a variety of tropical fish and coral, including umbrella leather corals, horned butterfly fish, and barrel sponges. The diving area is also home to over 200 species of coral, which is far greater than any other dive spot on Green Island. The magnificent coral reef, diverse underwater ecosystem, and vibrant schools of fish will blow you away. It’s no wonder why this is a must-visit spot for scuba aficionados.
