This route runs between Taitung City and Luye tourist attractions, including Beinan Site, Yuan Sen Applied Botanical Garden, Chulu Ranch, Luminous Hot Spring Resort & Spa, Luye Railway Station, Luye Highland, etc. Passengers who want to participate in the Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival held in July and August can take this route to Luye Highland.

Taitung East Coast Bus Lines

Xingdong Bus has 19 routes along the East Coast Line. It passes between major towns on the east coast and Taitung City, with multiple stops in the middle, including local communities that are not tourist hot-spots, making it easy to travel around. Passengers can make more use of Xingdong Bus to arrive at guesthouses and other Coast Line attractions. The areas covered by the Xingdong Bus Line include Changbin, Chenggong, Donghe, Taitung City, and Taitung Railway Station.

When thinking of traveling along the East Coast, this passenger route should be your first choice. It is meant to set stops according to your travel list. There are five buses every day from Taitung Bus Station to Sanxiantai Recreation Area, passing through Taitung Railway Station, Taitung Forest Park, Fugang Fishing Harbor, Xiaoyeliu, Jialulan, Suigahara, Fushan Fish Reserve, Water Running Upward, Dulan Sugar Factory Café and Art Gallery, Jinzun, Donghe Bun Shop, Chenggong Town, and Sanxiantai.

Taitung City Bus Lines

Taitung County Luhaikong Line (transportation hubs line): As the name suggests, this route is convenient for visitors arriving into Taitung City – whether by plane, train, bus or ferry – to get to Taitung City with ease. It passes through main transportation hubs in Taitung such as the Taitung Airport, Taitung Station(train), Taitung Bus Station, and Fugang Fishing Harbor. In addition, it passes through stations in the Taitung City areas: Yangming Villa, Kangle Elementary School, National Taitung Junior College, Taitung County Council, Taitung Sugar Refinery, Catholic St. Joseph Technical High School, Taipei Veterans General Hospital Taitung Branch, Beinan Gas Station, Baseball Stadium, Taitung Forest Park, Mei-O Seafood Restaurant, Fugang Community, Xiaoyeliu and etc. Passengers who would like to go to Green Island and Orchid Island by plane can take this bus route to connect to the airport.

This bus runs between Taitung Transfer Station and Taitung Station(train), stopping at various points in Taitung City. There are two buses in each direction every day. South Link Highway

Cross-region Travel by Bus

The Kuo-Kuang Motor Transportation 1778 route provides four buses every day to help you reach the South-Link Line and Taitung City with ease. It takes 3 hours and 30 minutes from Kaohsiung to Taitung on this bus. Bus No. 1778A is the same route but passes through the Caopu Tunnel(which shortens the trip by approximately 20 minutes). This added route has two daily buses each way and provides a quicker and more comfortable option for visitors traveling between Kaohsiung and Taitung.

Hualien Transportation Bus provides two routes to the Taitung East Coast Line: Route 1145 is suitable for visitors who need to get to Changbin Township and Chenggong Township. It departs from Hualien Railway Station, and passes through Changyuan, Baxiandong, Sanjianwu, and Changbin, Zhuhu, Ningpu, Yiwan, Xiaogang, Baishoulian, with Chenggong Township as the terminal stop. The whole journey takes about 3 hours. Route 1127 also departs from Hualien Railway Station and also passes through Changbin and Chenggong, and then goes through Donghe, Longchang, Xingchang, Dulan, Junjie, Fugang, with Taitung as the terminal stop.
