Besides planning a trip to Orchid Island or Green Island when visiting Taitung, now you’ll be able to experience the unique “Village Hopping” experience. You’ll be able to visit all the amazing mountains and ocean villages in the South Link area and experience various cultures and rural charisma.
South Link townships and villages are diverse in geography and have their individual humanistic backgrounds so you won’t want to miss out on any of them. The “Visit a Village, Village Hopping” farm tour flash event will only be available for a month, beginning around the end of November. Mini 90-minute trips in Taimali, Jinfeng, Dawu, and Daren Townships will allow you to “Eat, Learn, and Enjoy the Village Vibe.”
Farm tour itineraries are custom designed according to each tribe’s specialties and culture. Each trip also includes a craft, specialty cooking, and touring of the tribe. An expert tour guide will bring the history and background stories to life so that guests can experience and learn about the South Link Tribes’ culture, produce, and daily lives. You can take a trip to roast organic coffee beans in Xinhua, or learn to weave triangle fishing nets. You’ll even receive a small gift after you complete the activity. There are also gift shops at each location where you can purchase locally produced specialty items such as buddha fruit and roselle jam, dried pineapple, handmade herbal soaps, and more.
