When speaking of the spectacular view of orange daylilies, many people will immediately think of the sea of orange daylilies in Taimali from August to October. Tienshan Farm, located in Taitung’s Zhiben, had its grand opening in 2020. It’s the latest and most popular orange daylily destination. The “Taitung No. 7 Orange Daylily” grown on the farm has a blooming season from May to July. The earlier season allows visitors to enjoy the bright sea of orange blossoms before summer arrives.
Tienshan Farm is in close vicinity to the renowned Zhiben Hot Spring Area. The farm originally grew mainly coffee trees. After a typhoon destroyed the farm, the owner decided to make a traceable agriculture product orange daylily farm. After over five years of research and cultivation, “Taitung No. 7 Orange Daylily” was developed. The farm currently has over 5 hectares of this species of orange daylilies.
The blossom viewing route is clear and easy to follow. The flowers grow along the mountain’s slope which looks textured and beautiful from afar, making for the perfect photo opportunity. The farm is over 4 hectares of space. There is even a white piano amid the ocean of flowers, making the scene even more romantic and dreamy. While the length of the path is an uphill walk, the path is wide and flat, making it stroller and wheelchair friendly. There are also shaded resting areas along the ten-minute trail to the peak of the hill.
Admissions tickets are required upon entry, but the ticket cost can be redeemed at the concessions area. Don’t miss out on the fried orange daylilies and orange daylily tea. The dried orange daylily produced in the Tienshan Farm does not have any added sulfite.
