Xiaoyeliu is located to the north of Fugang Fishing Harbor. The full name of the park is Fugang Geopark, but it won the nickname “Little Yeliu” due to the similarities in view and geological qualities to Yeliu and has a smaller park area of only 5 km. Xiaoyeliu is made of sandstone. Years of erosion and waves have formed many unique rock formations along the coastline, including hive rocks, tofu rocks, mushroom-shaped rocks, and more. Visitors will feel as if they are transported to a geological classroom to enjoy the artistic masterpieces nature has created.
Xiaoyeliu has thoughtful and well-planned scenic zones. The park offers a Tourist Center, Camping Area, parking lot, and more. Visitors can learn about the different geological features Xiaoyeliu offers at the geology exhibition hall. The park has a well-designed course with accessible paths that are suitable for the whole family. Besides the unique rock formations, you can observe a variety of coastal ecology here. The trails and paths are surrounded by seaside plants, and you’ll find mudskippers, hermit crabs, and other amphibians near the coast. The stunning views and rich ecosystem makes Xiaoyeliu a worthwhile destination you’ll want to visit again and again.
Friendly Reminder: For your safety, no running or pushing is allowed near the coastline. Due to the strong winds and high waves by the ocean, please be mindful of children and elderly members in your group to ensure their safety. （Photo Credit：Taitung County Government）
